Without giving away what happens too much, the Doctor’s attempts to re-create her “Swiss army sonic” contraption culminate in an epic finale involving an alien, a construction site (probably new student accommodation) and the Doctor’s triumphant nod to Sheffield. “Swiss army sonic – now with added Sheffield steel!”
