Thornbridge Brewery announces plans to expand their site in Bakewell – including a specialist cask brewhouse.
Following the positive results of their £1.6m expansion in 2016, the brewery aims to increase their production on site and recruit new staff.
Since its opening in 2005, Thornbridge has developed a worldwide reputation for high quality, diverse beer, and has won over 200 national and international awards. Their new plans hope to meet increasing demand not only for bottled beer, but also cask and keg beer – which a whole new brewing house will be dedicated to.
With a current staff at 50 – twice the number of five years ago – the brewery is on the look-out for new members of the team. “Good people have taken us to where we are today”, says Simon Webster, Thornbridge CEO. “We are very proud of those who have developed with us and we will continue to offer opportunities to our existing team and those who join us in the future.”
