Moor market favourites Cakelicious are set to open their very own bakery and cafe for their sweet treats. Hurrah!
Fans of their famous Portuguese custard tarts will be pleased to know they’ll be able to take a seat and enjoy them with a cuppa from the end of January when the Chinese bakery is set to open their cafe Furnival Gate.
Bumping up from their modest market stall on the Moor, you’ll be able to find the same unique cakes. As well as the famous pastel de nata, owner Chris Wong and his wife also make impressive celebration cakes. And as Chinese cakes are often finished with fresh cream and topped with fresh fruit, it’s a great option for those who don’t like icing or anything too sweet!
