One of the stand-out events in Yorkshires cultural calendar is being held in Sheff for the first time in 50 years, bringing portfolio’s from some of the county’s best amateur photographers for you to have a gander at – and its entirely free!


Running from 5 – 18 May, around 400 pieces will be on display in Channing Hall, after being narrowed down by a panel of judges from the thousands that are submitted.

Many of the pieces selected for display will go on to represent Yorkshire on a national level through the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain, and then on to the international stage.

Alan Stopher, president of the YPU, told Exposed: “The Annual Assembly and Exhibition is the high point of the Yorkshire Photographic Union’s calendar. The exhibition is a showcase for the best photography in the county and I’m delighted that it is returning to the City of Sheffield this year.”
