In the heart of Little Sheffield – just opposite Bramall Lane – sits The Steamworks, a warehouse turned event space that has been hosting a variety of occasions since it opened earlier this year.

Now, in celebration of the season of scare, they will transform once more, becoming The Screamworks. From 25 October to 31 October – The Steamworks will be using its moody industrial backdrop to create an atmospheric night full of scares, getting everyone into the Halloween spirit.

Screamworks is promising the best of both worlds, as they split the event into two immersive parts – going from a Halloween Night Market on Friday followed by a week of horror film screenings.

The Halloween Night Market will feature over 40 indie makers, artisans and local businesses. Among them, visitors will be able to find handmade crafts and unique finds – and, of course, try some of Steamworks’ signature street food! Families and dogs are all welcome and the event will last until 8pm.

In preparation for the horror film nights the following week, Screamworks will also be hosting a Halloween-themed movie quiz – a real chance for you to show off your film knowledge, before the main event!

Featured in the horror nights are the classics, with Hocus Pocus, The Lost Boys and The Shining on the programme, but Screamworks will also bring something unique to the table with Korean and Japanese-themed film nights, giving viewers the chance to see the frightful hits from the other side of the world.

The venue will be illuminated with eerie lighting, providing deckchairs and bean bags for a cosy yet spine-chilling experience. Guests can settle in for a night of scares while enjoying Halloween-themed cocktails and local beers from the bar.

Tickets for the screenings are available here, with the option to reserve premium seating.

You can find Steamworks on Randall Street, S2 4SJ
