Rising band Fuzzy Sun are bringing their unique blend of psychedelic pop music to The Leadmill as part of their nationwide tour.
Fuzzy Sun’s sound consists of melodic, psychedelic indie pop. Their songs incorporate a mixture of influences including a touch of R’ n’ B and influences from the 80s. Their catchy melodies fuse disco flare and synth-pop, managing to bring on a nostalgic, yet upbeat ambiance through their music.
The synth-pop band have been gaining momentum over their year after their headline show at Manchester Gorilla back in February sold out and they were included in NME’s Essential News Artists for 2019 as well as Radio X’s Great X-Pectations list. They were also named as Manchester Evening News’ Breakthrough Act for 2019.
Over past year the rising Stockport five-piece released their debut EP Want Love, followed by their single Heavy. More recently they released their second EP Warm Evening/ Cold Morning, featuring the single Eve, a melodic brew of nostalgic sounds.
For their upcoming tour, Fuzzy Sun will also have support from the up and coming Dublin-based band Inhaler, whose psychedelic soundscapes will certainly complement those of the headliners. The Leadmill will be welcoming Fuzzy Sun on Tuesday 14th May. The band is scheduled to set off on their debut headline UK tour, starting from Sheffield, and then concluding in Bristol on the 24th May.
