Theatre Deli has announced a Brexit Season event as the country is inching closer towards leaving the EU. It will be hosting three shows, all of which will add their own humorous touch and offer their own commentary on the situation and the events that have led up to it.

The first show, ‘Here’s Looking at UKIP’, will explore the British identity and tap into the Brits’ behaviour in the past and present. It will address issues like historical amnesia and the country’s problem with ‘foreigners’, trying to figure out how events have led to this point in time and also where to go from here using comedy as its source.

‘It’ll be ALT-Right on the Night’, the second show from Theatre Deli’s Brexit Season extravaganza, fuses theatre, comedy, cabaret and jazz-punk, to tell the story of a friendship between two individuals whose lives take on different paths. The story touches upon an array of political topics, focusing on disenfranchisement in modern Britain and addressing questions such as: ‘Is conservatism the new punk?’

The third show which will draw the curtain on Brexit Season will be ‘Boris the Musical 2: Brexit Harder!’ The much-awaited second chapter to the original ‘Boris the Musical!’ will return to Theatre Deli with brand new political satire. With brand new tunes and rowdy humour, the musical draws inspiration from current political events, featuring Boris Johnson as the star of the show amongst others, including Theresa May and Jeremy Corbin.
