A variety of big names in comedy will be performing at the Magna Science Adventure Centre this June as a star-studded line-up promises to provide an unforgettable night of comedy.
The event, which is taking place on Saturday 1st June, is headlined by Dylan Moran. Having starred in many hit films, such as Run Fatboy Run and Shaun of the Dead, Dylan Moran has been named by critics as one of the foremost comics of his generation. Dylan’s most notable work has to be his performance in the BAFTA-winning comedy show, Black Books.
In partnership with Nodding Dog Comedy, Dylan Moran will be performing alongside Dane Baptiste, Stephen Bailey, Hannah Platt, and Bethany Black.
Nodding Dog Comedy Promoter, Kev Rook, said: “I think this is genuinely one of our favourite line-ups that we have put together in recent years! Dylan Moran is a legend of comedy and the supporting cast is as good as you could see at any comedy club anywhere!
“It’s going to be a very special night and we can’t wait to bring our first show to Magna.”
Dane Baptiste is best known for his comedy that delves into the complexities of life and has made appearances on a variety of comedy TV shows like Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Stephen Bailey has confirmed himself as one of the UK’s most sought-after comedians. Birthed out of lockdown, Stephen wrote and starred in his own mini-series Comedians in Quarantine: House Olympics. His gossipy humour has landed him regular appearances on shows such as Love Island: Aftersun and Richard Osman’s House of Games.
Having been performing on the comedy circuit for more than 20 years, Bethany Black is renowned for her confessional style of comedy and has become a regular at some of Britain’s favourite comedy clubs.
To complete the line-up is Hannah Platt, a writer, actor, stand-up comedian, and improviser who has been described as “a voice of a new generation”. Hannah is known for her brutally honest comedy that doesn’t shy away from sensitive topics.
The Operations Director of Magna Science Adventure Centre, Stuart Lee, has branded the event as “unmissable”. He said: “Our event will give visitors to Magna the chance to enjoy performances by some of the best known and up-and-coming comedians currently performing on the comedy circuit. Most of our comedians have performed to sell-out shows in their own right, and it promises to be an electric atmosphere.
“In recent months, Magna has invested in upgrading many parts of the attraction, and this includes investing in upgrading our seating and stage, which provides us with greater flexibility to host a wide range of events.
“Tickets for Magna’s first Comedy Club are selling quickly and booking early is advised to avoid disappointment.”
Tickets can be purchased online via the Magna Website.
