Despite cities having amazing transport, driving is still key, with London recently being named a driving capital.
Therefore, you need a car that’s perfect for the city, and below, you’ll find five of the best.
Skoda Citigo
Part of the Volkswagen group, this is notably the cheapest one they offer, but that doesn’t stop it from being a great car.
With duo petrol engine types, each gives you enough speed and power to whizz around a city centre with ease. However, as this is better for a city, motorway driving can be noisy as the car can be slow to accelerate. Easy to park too, the car also comes with a smartphone holder, making it easier to control your sat nav.
Nissan
When it comes to small, compact cars that were designed perfectly for the city, Nissan is one. With many used Nissan ni cars on offer, you’ll also have a wealth to choose from, with each one being great for getting you around those busy streets. Recently the Nissan Altima, with its spacious interiors has become popular but doesn’t fare as well when streets are busy, which is why an older model would be better, while the Nissan Leaf, is smaller, easier to manoeuvre and is 100% electric.
Smart ForTwo
If you were to draw a city car, this would be what comes to mind. Making parking super easy due to its small size, this two-seater car is just what any driver needs on those busy roads. Due to its two-seater size, you also get a better view of the road, which is excellent for when driving through a city, while there are two engine types to choose from – petrol and eclectic.
VW Up!
Inspired by the golf, this is a typical car as it does exactly what you need it to do without all the fancy excess trimmings. Offering a smooth ride, this is excellent for city driving and for when you need to hit the motorway, as long as you don’t opt for the one-litre engine with 60 horsepower option. Relatively spacious inside too, the boot is also quite large for a city car and there’s even an app for your smartphone too, which can attach to the dashboard.
Hyundai i10
Larger on the inside than some other city cars, you can purchase this vehicle with either one-litre or 1.2-litre engine. The latter of the two will allow you to drive on motorways with ease too and can seat five. Meanwhile, if it’s simply for the city, the smaller engine, which seats four will do just fine.
So, if you’re a city driver, one of these is sure to see you through all that traffic with ease.
