Portraits of a Nation offer a special type of photography. They visit various cities around the UK and take images of homeless people with their permission.
From Brighton to Manchester, every man or woman has their own story as to how their life ended up in these circumstances. A brief description of who they are is placed at the bottom of every image that’s been taken, giving each person their own identity.
Street Portrait Photography have a mission to highlight the many issues homeless people face and struggles they encounter whilst living on the streets.
Life on the streets is hard and options minimal.
Each image will be shown in an exhibition in order to increase awareness for homeless people and to also raise funds for the cause. It’s a remarkable opportunity to change people’s lives.
The event will take place at Sheffield’s independent art venue DINA, 28 May – 5 June.
