The guys behind rooftop bar INC have opened up a coffee shop on the second floor of Krynkl serving speciality coffee, superfood salad bowl/wraps and cold-pressed juices.
INC may be hidden away in the shipping container development Krynkl, but they’re hoping to draw more people to them with their locally-produced top quality coffee and enticing food offers.
The original plan was to open up on the top floor with their rooftop bar but when a space became available downstairs, they decided that it would make more sense to trade from there.
“A lot of coffeehouses serve things like pastries and cakes but we wanted to do something a little bit different, we have a chef who specialises in healthy food so this plays to his strengths and we also wanted to appeal to the customers of TRIB3 gym who are in this building,” says manager, Jake Rennison.
Superfood bowls range from £4.95 to £5.50, and starting from next week they will also be available in wraps. Once they’ve settled in, you can get a neat deal of a bowl/wrap, a drink of your choice and a raw treat (vegan brownies etc) for just £5.50 – how ace is that?!
The idea is for customers to take their coffee and food upstairs to the rooftop bar to enjoy, where they will be launching their Autumn menu along with some student deals for the freshers of Kelham Island. Here is a little taster of what you could be getting from INC Coffee Lab:
JERK BOWL
Rice, spicy black beans, slaw, corn, jerk chicken & sweet chilli
KIMCHI BEAN BOWL
Rice, carrot, edamame, soy + mushrooms, kimchi, pickled cucumber + radishes, spring onions & black sesame seeds
FALAFEL BOWL
Tabbouleh, carrot, slaw, roast cauliflower, hummus, falafel, pickled cucumber, pumpkin + sesame seeds, cherry tomatoes & tahini dressing
